My winning entry for the 2016 NODE Fest Ident competition. Winner of the Judges Choice Award!
I wanted my entry to be a celebration of the fun you can have with the multi-faceted-medium of motion graphics. It is constructed of live action, chrome key, practical/in-camera effects, after effects animation, and 3D animation. All the good stuff.
A secondary layer I also explored is working with a foreign language to create mystery, while also being able to play with a different style of typography. I always loved seeing old movie trailers in different languages, and being equally confused and inspired to find out more about them. I wanted to recreate that WTF effect to motivate action.
